Summary: I qualified as a doctor in 1984 from St Joseph Medical School, Beirut. My residency in Internal Medicine was completed at Oakwood Hospital, Michigan, USA and I earned my US Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 1994. I pursued a Fellowship program in Infectious Diseases at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, gaining my US Board in this sub-specialty in 1997. I continued working in the state of Michigan - USA in private practices until returning to Lebanon in 2001, where I worked in major hospitals affiliated with the University of Balamand, a respectful organization. I am currently the chairperson of the Infection Control Committee at SSH and have interest in the following fields: Prevention of infections in vulnerable patients Wound care and prevention of ulcers in bedridden patients Anti-aging medicine and rejuvenation Immunizations and Public Health Sexually transmitted diseases Travel and tropical medicine Simulation techniques for learning in medicine
